My chocolate story started in Belgium before I could put one foot in front of the other. All chocolates delighted me and I ended up spending a lot of my childhood in our kitchen with my Swiss mother making scrumptious desserts for the family. In the early 90's I moved to the US with my design company, my recipe books and my chocolate obsession.
While working on textile designs, children's books, magazine illustrations and many other creative endeavors, I started organizing chocolate parties and events, building an ever-growing community of kindred spirits.
In the early 2000’s, I witnessed with great enthusiasm the birth of the American bean-to-bar movement, one of the most exciting change ever to happen in the food industry.
Instead of constantly bringing back chocolate from my Belgian trips I began bringing American craft chocolate to my family and friends and started changing their minds and palates, opening the doors to a world of chocolate they didn't know existed. Every day now is a deeper dive into this growing community of chocolate makers, getting more experience in tastings and bean to bar chocolate making. It is thrilling to continue to study, test, review, share, learn from, and contribute to what has really become a chocolate revolution.
I am looking forward to bring you along!
